Teacher, Social Studies, Middle School (EX) (2025-2026) - Monsignor Slade Catholic School, Glen Burnie MD

The Middle School Social Studies Teacher would be responsible for all lessons in Social Studies to students in grades 6th-8th. The middle school Social Studies teacher is accountable for implementing daily standard-based lessons to support students’ acquisition and application of the Social Studies curriculum aligned with the standards of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Essential Functions

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards set by the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
• Assess student understanding through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Maintain an accurate and updated gradebook, ensuring both students and parents have an understanding of academic progress.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field
• Valid MSDE teaching certification or eligibility for certification in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
• Strong content knowledge in middle school Social Studies disciplines.
• Previous teaching experience, particularly at the middle school level, is preferred.

Range: $50,000 - $86,000, Annualized
