The Collins facility in Melbourne, FL, engineers, designs, develops, and manufactures aviation electronics for Commercial Systems.  

Our business continues to grow, and we are adding a production scheduling analyst to our team.  In this role, you would plan and prepare manufacturing production schedules, assess changes, and improve processes for maximum efficiency.

You will be a contributor to team success by tracking the status of material availability, and mitigating potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are available as needed. Attention to detail and effective communication are critical skills for preparing reports and ensuring cross functional collaboration with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and other groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are timed to meet production requirements.
  • Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
  • Review and maintain master production schedule (MPS).
  • Compiles information, prepares and maintains production reports so that performance problems can be identified and resolved.
  • Collaborate with internal procurement personnel to verify shipment details to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of shipments.
  • Tracks delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite the flow of materials and meet production schedules.
  • Participates in schedule preparation and/or shipments as needed to ensure timeliness of operations.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience. 
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Qualifications/Experience Preferred:

  • SAP knowledge and experience
  • The ability to interface with multiple levels of management in an IPT environment with effective communication skills.
  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software.
  • Motivated and takes on challenges with minimal direction, proactively driving action.
  • Ability to set and work towards goals at a “big picture” level, and influence change at a detailed operational level.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
