Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking an Information Security Specialist (Senior-Level) to join our team in Clarksburg, WV.

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • DoD Security Clearance required
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Information Security Specialist will use current information security technology disciplines and practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Government information assets in Clarksburg, WV.  

Our Information Security Specialist will apply advanced security technologies and best practices to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. Leveraging current cybersecurity disciplines, they play a critical role in protecting sensitive data and systems from evolving threats, ensuring compliance with security standards, and maintaining the resilience of mission-essential operations.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain security policies and standards.
  • Provide analytical support to identify potential security risks or policy violations.
  • Develop procedures to ensure system users understand their IA responsibilities before being granted access to DoD information systems.
  • Ensure IA security requirements are clearly defined in operational procedures and collect and maintain data necessary to meet system IA reporting requirements.
  • Participate in the development or modification of Information Assurance (IA) security program plans and requirements for the computing environment.
  • Provide services related to the Risk Management Framework (RMF), system/circuit accreditation, and certification policies.
  • Ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Ensure IA requirements are integrated into the system’s Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) or that of the DoD Component.
  • Collaborate with system owners to remediate Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Communications (IAVC) findings, and to manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) in accordance with DoD instructions and directives.
  • Provide daily supervision and direction to personnel across the Information Security team.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Information Security Support Technicians, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage, coordinate, and track work across the Information Security team.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for the Information Security delivery team.
  • Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
  • Support the development and delivery of training sessions to ensure staff understand Information Security resources.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must have at least eight (8+) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Cybersecurity role.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Experience in Information Assurance enforcement, auditing, vulnerability assessment analysis, threat identification and remediation, IA policy recommendations, physical security, and patch management strategies.
  • Extensive working knowledge in RMF certification and accreditation requirements (DoDI 8510.1, 8500.01, AR 25-2, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253), IAVM compliancy (ACAS), STIG enforcement and auditing, and other IA tools (eMASS, Tanium, AESS, etc.)

Preferred:

  • MS or BA/BS in computer science or information technology.
  • IAT Level III Certification equivalent per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.).
