Under limited supervision, assists in maintaining delivery of psychological services at Pee Dee Regional Center:- Knows requirements and interpretation of behavior assessment instruments (structural interviews, questionnaire, scales, etc.) approved by Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) Procedures, as well as Agency and Office Directives; performs Clinical Diagnostic, Mental Health Status and Risk Behavior Evaluation, interprets obtained results; prepares Psychological/Functional behavior Evaluation Reports for mentally ill and intellectually disabled persons with full prescriptive analysis of obtained assessment results and diagnostic classification system.
- Administers Functional Behavior Assessments; calculate and interpret obtained results; develop, implement and update annual Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)/Addenda of assigned caseload. Receive approval of BSPs/Addenda at Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and Human Rights Committee (HRC). Follow ICF-IID’s Procedures, as well as Agency and Office Directives, and Mental Health Professional's ethical standards. Implement Behavioral (classical and operant conditioning), Cognitive-Behavioral, and other therapy interventions in behavior modification program of BSP.
- Provides consultations, monitoring and in-service trainings for staff throughout a 24-hour day regarding implementation of BSPs/Addenda and Planned Mechanical Restraints/Devices on-and off-campus programs at Pee Dee Regional Center. Performs behavior observation sampling to validate data and on-spot in-service trainings for staff.
- Participates in business meetings of assigned case load and report behavior changes or progress of behaviors and accordingly prepare Addendum to BSP as needed; performs admissions of consumers; collects, organizes, calculates and prepares monthly data charts and graphs of target and adaptive/replacement behaviors for progress notes [data of one (1) physical year], updated annual BSPs, Psychotropic Medication Review meetings and Psychiatric Consultations [data of two (2) physical years] and writes progress notes of each consumer monthly; prepares Psychological/Functional Behavior Evaluation Reports for Single Plan. Revises objectives of BSP quarterly or sooner as needed.
- Provides Individual and/or Group Counseling or Psychotherapy, Crisis Intervention and Stabilization, and on-call service based on Behavioral, Cognitive–Behavioral, and other therapy interventions. Secures Psychotherapy and/or Counseling notes based on Mental Health Professional's ethical standards, ICF-IID’s Procedures, as well as Agency and Office Directives, and HIPAA requirements.
- Performs related solitary and/or group work functions assigned by supervisor.
- Including on call duties after work hours, on weekends and/or holidays when necessary.
This position is located at Pee Dee Regional Center, an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Florence, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Examples of duties
