This role demands an individual with a strong background in military combat arms or law enforcement, who can seamlessly blend into a sophisticated environment while ensuring the safety and security of high-value assets, clients, and staff. The ideal candidate will embody discretion, poise, and exceptional customer service, maintaining strict adherence to protocols in a fast-paced, elite setting. We are looking for someone who has exceptional observational skills and pays close attention to detail.

What you will do:
Access Control and Visitor Management: Monitor and control entry to the gallery, verifying credentials against the access control list and ensuring only authorized visitors gain admittance. Maintain thorough awareness of valuable consignments entering and exiting the property, including logging and escorting as needed.
Security and Emergency Response: Uphold a concealed carry posture with utmost discretion. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs), standardized emergency response protocols, and the communication plan to respond effectively to any incidents, threats, or disruptions.
Customer Service Excellence: Provide top-notch, courteous interactions with high-profile clients, vendors, and guests, offering assistance while projecting a professional image that aligns with the gallery’s luxury brand.
Autonomous Operations: Work independently during shifts, making real-time decisions on security matters while coordinating seamlessly with internal teams via established communication channels.
Dress Code Compliance: Strictly adhere to a high-end suit and tie dress code, demonstrating expertise in wearing tailored suits with sharpness and sophistication to blend into the upscale environment.
General Duties: Greeting guests and visitors, maintaining adherence to access control roster, conduct routine patrols of entry points, report any irregularities, responding to and reporting emergent situations and contribute to ongoing security enhancements through proactive observations. Qualifications and Requirements
Background Experience: Proven military service in combat arms branches (e.g., infantry, special forces) or law enforcement experience (e.g., patrol, SWAT, or protective services). Minimum of 5 years in a relevant security or protective role preferred.
What is required:
Licenses and Certifications: Valid New York State concealed carry permit (or ability to obtain one immediately) and a valid New York State Special Armed Guard Registration Card.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to de-escalate situations diplomatically.
Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on discretion and client satisfaction in a luxury setting.
Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative, attention to detail, and sound judgment under pressure.
Physical fitness to stand for extended periods, handle potential physical confrontations, and perform light lifting as needed.
Proficiency in security technology, such as access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and communication devices.
Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and reference verification. U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization required.
No visible tattoos or piercings that cannot be concealed under professional attire.
What is Desired:
Current certifications in first aid/CPR, defensive tactics, and any relevant security training (e.g., executive protection) are highly desirable.
