We are currently looking for an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to work Night shift (Wednesday-Friday and every other Saturday) at our plant in Tempe, AZ. Working in the Cardiovascular unit, the Equipment Maintenance Technician III is an essential part of Medtronic and is responsible for providing hands-on, technical support of manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, diagnosing, and maintaining process equipment and hardware.

Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Perform equipment installation, modification, upgrades, qualification maintenance and calibration.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff and other technicians to develop and execute procedures on a wide variety of medical electronics components and assemblies.
  • Respond in a positive manner to pressures caused by changing priorities.
  • Communicate effectively through written technical reports and verbal interaction.
  • Lead problem solving activities.
  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment; conducts tests and reports daily issues.
  • Suggest / Make improvements to the Die Prep equipment maintenance programs.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 8 years related equipment maintenance experience

Nice to Have

  • Must be able to work night shift Wednesday - Friday and every other Saturday
  • AS degree in Engineering or a related discipline. 
  • Broad knowledge of operational systems, techniques and practices typically gained through experience and/or education
  • Experience with the following equipment: Onto/Rudolph Automated Optical Inspection, Muhlbauer Pick and Place, Wafer mounters, Disco wafer dicing saws, convection bake ovens, K&S wire bonders, dry boxes and Simco ionizers.
  • Interpersonal skills to understand cultural differences, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$56,400.00 - $84,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
