Job Description
At Vericast, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional user experiences through innovative design and research. We're looking for a Senior Visual Designer to join our dynamic UX Design & Research team. If you're passionate about creating designs that inspire and engage users and have a strong background in visual design and product design.
As a Senior Visual Designer at Vericast, you will play a pivotal role in our UX team, contributing to our product design system and enabling our users to navigate our product suite with ease. Your role is essential in the evolution of our offerings, as you'll craft designs that blend typography, iconography, color, and texture to create delightful and user-centered experiences.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Visually conceptualize, ideate, and refine design solutions and patterns across multiple products.
- Lead the development of design systems that scale across our product portfolio.
- Foster collaboration by facilitating cross-team brainstorming sessions to create scalable concepts.
- Design within branding principles and industry best practices across our various product types.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and trends to drive innovation in UX design.
- Collaborate with UX managers, product managers/owners, engineers, and fellow designers throughout the design process and product lifecycle.
- Embrace the lean UX process, incorporating research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and iterative improvements.
- Effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders, users, and cross-functional teams and be open to feedback.
- Develop and lead design concepts aligned with product objectives and strategy, while continually striving to enhance the quality of the work we deliver.
- Utilize an understanding of kanban and agile methodologies to provide timelines and resources for multiple projects simultaneously to meet our goals.
- Apply knowledge across UX disciplines in research and interaction design to engage in UX feedback.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with UX product design.
- Proficiency in visual design, brand identity, interactive design, research, and user testing.
- Strong understanding of the creative methodology and design thinking.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Excellent and innovative presentation skills with the ability to articulate strategic creative solutions to high-level stakeholders.
- Team player with an ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Figma
- Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Familiarity with Jira and MS Office
Additional Information
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000
Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program.
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
