About this unit

The 39-bed Critical Care Step-Down Unit (CCSU) is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. The unit serves patients with a range of complex medical conditions, including pulmonary, cardiac, and neurological disorders, as well as post-operative surgical patients who require an elevated level of nursing care. All staff members complete hospital and nursing orientation, followed by comprehensive unit-specific training. Core and unit competencies are established during this onboarding process.

Our team is composed of registered nurses (RNs) and nursing assistants (NAs), and strong teamwork is essential to fostering a cohesive and effective care environment.
