Job Description

The SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for managing and ensuring the operational integrity of our SharePoint Online (SPO) environment. This includes overseeing the SPO infrastructure, user and group access management, governance and security, and company intranet built on communication sites. This role will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to design and develop solutions that enable business capabilities, enhance user experience and productivity. The ideal candidate is also well versed in the Content and Collaboration domain.

The SPO Administrator will be responsible for,

  • Managing the SharePoint environment, including design, architecture, availability, performance, monitoring, operational hygiene, and security
  • Maintaining and administering SharePoint services, including search, content hub, and other core and affiliated services (e.g. Viva Suite)
  • Providing direction and support for all SharePoint activities across the Enterprise, advising on the use of best practices, page and site design, information architecture and content permissions
  • Partnering with functional areas to identify and leverage SharePoint and Power App opportunities for automation
  • Providing SharePoint support and advisory to end users
  • Providing leadership with a roadmap to maximize the features within SharePoint and improve user adoption, engagement, and experience

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a SharePoint administrator or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell, REST API, SharePoint Services, Microsoft Teams, and Power Platform (focus on Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Drive to master emerging technologies and share experiences with the organization.
  • Incorporates Best Practices and lessons learned into applications and solutions
  • Ability to take high level direction and formulate plans to achieve business goals and align to both company and Microsoft best practices
  • Job responsibilities also include providing production support activities
  • Experience with SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) and ShareGate
  • PowerShell scripting experience preferred
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • SharePoint certifications a plus
  • Microsoft Teams experience a plus
