What you'll do...
Position Summary The Director, Advanced Analytics is a strategic leader focused on building new data visualization and analytic capabilities that power Walmart’s Connect’s Sales Team. This highly visible role will lead two business-critical domains: Data Science and Data Analytics. This opportunity will drive thought leadership, prototype innovation, and change management to ensure our internal teams have the data and analytics resources they need to analyze and drive their businesses forward. This role works with key partners in Sales, Business Operations, Revenue Operations, Product, and Engineering. What You'll Do: Data Collection and Analysis- Direct and empower team to analyze critical data sets that drive the development of new capabilities, enable innovative functionalities, and resolve business-critical issues with strategic impact.
- Own and improve sales forecasting and planning
- Lead a team that creates new data modeling and algorithms to help us better understand where our business is going to drive growth and give our sales team the tools to be proactive.
- Collect and analyze large datasets from various sources, ensuring the data is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
- Transform this complex data into easy-to-understand formats such as dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for end users. This involves using advanced data analytics tools and techniques to identify key trends, patterns, and opportunities that can drive sales performance and strategic decision-making.
- Adopt and enforce data governance standards and guidelines to drive information consistency
- Partner with functional leadership and other cross-functional leaders across the organization to develop consultative solutions.
- Ensure buy-in for recommendations and alignment on data analysis strategies.
- Maintain existing relationships and develop new relationships with external business partners and vendors.
- Drive continuous development through coaching, mentoring, and targeted learning to build high-performing teams.
- Shape future capabilities by identifying emerging skills, supporting succession planning, and leveraging diverse talent.
- Strengthen impact through strategic partnerships and networks that enhance workforce engagement and business outcomes.
- Analyze business objectives and customer needs to develop and implement business strategies, plans, and practices.
- Evaluate operational processes and measure outcomes to ensure desired results.
- Identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
- Promote a customer-focused environment and demonstrate adaptability and continuous learning.
