Required Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, New Media Design, Media Arts and Technology, Visual Communication, or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in graphic and visual design, social media development, or related field.
  • Experience coordinating and delegating work within a team, managing staff and their development and performance, or related supervisory experience.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
Skills:
  • Aligns creative work with university, division, and marketing goals.
  • Proven experience in creative direction with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects.
  • Significant experience working in a creative role such as graphic design, marketing, or advertising.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients, develop new opportunities for collaboration, and identify potential projects. Builds and manages relationships with individuals across various industries, divisions, and teams, including managing business relationships with external providers (vendors, contractors, suppliers).
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and align creative strategies with business objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including spelling, grammar, and creative writing.
  • Asks smart questions, takes risks, and champions new ideas, while working effectively in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Distills abstract business concepts and client needs into refined, elegant creative solutions, and analyzes customer requirements to design solutions.
  • Keeps the team motivated and encourages a collaborative environment where team members are inspired to achieve their best work.
  • Leads multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines, demonstrating effective project management skills by planning, organizing, and monitoring objectives.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite ((including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Lightroom) with strong UX/UI and social media experience, adept at communicating creative thinking through tools such as wireframes, storyboards, mockups, flowcharts, and demos.
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Skill in social media management and social strategy development
