Job Description

THE POSITION:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Business Analyst (TBA) to join our growing team.  In this role, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, focusing specifically on pharmacy systems.  You will partner with key players to identify needs, define requirements, and develop solutions that optimize our pharmacy operations and drive business success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results.  These results are achieved by:

  • Business Analysis:
    • Partner with pharmacy stakeholders to identify needs, define clear and concise business requirements, and develop solutions aligned with overall business strategy
    • Analyze complex pharmacy workflows and processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
    • Facilitate cross-functional requirements-gathering sessions (between business, Pharmacy Operations, IT, Security and other teams)
    • Collect and document clear and concise business requirements and rules
    • Document requirements using various techniques (e.g., use cases, user stories, data flow diagrams)
    • Collaborate with technical teams to translate business rules and requirements into detailed technical specifications (User Stories)
    • Perform process modeling (business, operations, technical) and create visualizations of those process models
    • Create wireframes and report designs.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate proposed solutions for pharmacy systems
    • Develop and manage project plans and timelines to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of pharmacy system enhancements
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Possess a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and relevant industry trends.
    • Stay up-to-date on emerging pharmacy technologies and their potential impact on business processes.
    • Work with developers to ensure technical solutions align with pharmacy system functionalities and user needs.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and manage stakeholder expectations.
    • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive working environment with pharmacy teams and other departments.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation of pharmacy system requirements, processes, and user guides.
    • Participate in the creation of training materials, instructions, procedures and may be involved in training end-users on new pharmacy system functionalities.
  • Specific Activities:
    • Prioritize and complete requirements, wireframes, system process flows, and user stories aligned with product/client schedules, BRDs, and business process flows
    • Partner with the Business Design Team on product roadmap development
    • Provide strong collaboration between impacted team members & clients (Confluence and Balsamiq)
    • Handle multiple concurrent projects of moderate or complex scope
    • Perform research into project-related issues and products
    • Support project post-deployments and support systems in steady state
