TITLE: Warehouse Lead Forklift Operator
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Lead and Operate in a safe and efficient manner. Facilitating the movement of product and raw materials from one location to another, properly load and unload trailers, as well as properly pull product for shipping to customer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Available for overtime
• Must have mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer knowledge
• Fork Truck Operator Certification
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
C Level
• Safety - complies with all written and verbal safety rules of the plant and department including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Become familiar with various customer product and where and how they are to be stored.
• Must show basic familiarity with truck operations.
• Be able to properly complete a pre-shift truck inspection, as well as complete P.M. checklist daily.
• Fill the gas tank as needed.
• Know the proper placement of all finished product.
• Basic math skills to accurately pull product for orders.
• Empty the trash dumpster when needed.
• Know where to put all finished goods, bulk material and supplies.
• Know location of cases in the warehouse.
• Understands that height restrictions for pallet stacking.
• Knows the location of bulk skids as well as storage locations within the department.
• Understands the difference between A, B, Peco and Chep pallets.
• Keep Isle ways free of clutter.
• Know how to operate the wrapper.
• Must be able to perform all daily task of data entry in the IBS Production System.
• Must demonstrate active participation in Company’s Stretching Program.
B Level - Must have all of C level qualifications plus the following:
• Pull orders and load trailers in an efficient and timely manner.
• Knows how and where to make room for product coming from production, as well as, purchased product.
• Puts product in proper locations.
A Level - Must have all of B and C level qualifications plus the following:
• Shows the ability to work independently on a consistent basis.
• Demonstrates job flexibility.
• Willingness to work in any position and in any warehouse.
• Capable and willing to train new employees.
Senior Level - Must have all of A, B and C level qualifications plus the following:
• Directs shift employees to perform necessary job tasks during shift.
• Ensures carriers are loaded and unloaded in an acceptable time frame.
• Ensures proper paperwork is given to warehouse worker when given a task to perform.
Lead Level - Must have all of Senior, A, B and C level qualifications plus the following:
• Converses with incoming shift foreman/leads and discuss the days’ events and what loads are still out.
• Schedule overtime.
• Complete Coaching & Counseling Reports.
• Complete evaluations.
• Machinery & Electrical Devices Used

◦ Propane pump at the refilling station.

PHYSICAL AND VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

◦ Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist.
