About the role

LOCATION:  Hybrid – 8 days per month in the office (Indianapolis IN preferred or other U.S. locations for internal employees)

OVERVIEW:

The Content Editor will work with the Wolters Kluwer Health – Pharmacy & Health Technology (WKH-PHT) team that maintains databases responsible for drug interaction, drug allergy and duplicate therapy-related content and underlying concepts. This position will contribute directly to data maintenance and quality assurance, while demonstrating detailed understanding of key business drivers, and providing customer support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in the timely data maintenance and quality assurance of specialized embedded drug ingredient content (e.g., KDC maintenance, DDID ingredient sets, etc.) to support proprietary international and domestic databases. Maintains consistency within the database with respect to the association of concepts.
  • Provides data maintenance and quality assurance of Duplicate Therapy content, including Editorial Platform support.
  • Supports maintenance of additional clinical databases such as Drug-Lab Conflict, Master Parameters, Parameters to Monitor, IV-Chek, and Clinical DataFacts, as assigned.
  • Participates in copyediting review of pharmacist documents and clinical content and originates consumer-friendly drug interaction summaries based on that content.
  • Provides leadership and training support for Content Editor position.
  • Utilizes multiple data sources as well as clinical and technical expertise to create relevant, clinically meaningful data used in clinical screening.
  • Analyzes data to inform customer needs and optimize clinical solutions.
  • Provides a high level of customer service by offering customer and client support on an as needed basis. Responds in a timely and accurate manner to inquiries regarding product data.
  • Continually works to improve efficiency and quality, and finds innovative approaches to improve work models, processes, products, and tools.
  • Supplies detailed, timely, and meaningful reports on data maintenance, new issues, and special projects and initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains specific, detailed documentation on databases, processes, and workflows for related databases (e.g., KDC maintenance, combination moiety process, Drug-Lab Conflict, Master Parameters, Parameters to Monitor, IV Chek, Clinical DataFacts maintenance, etc.).
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with cross-team colleagues and international contractors, as appropriate.  Cultivates and maintains relationships with individuals in specialty areas that can help improve content.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Life Sciences or related field preferred, or equivalent experience (completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program)

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience with drug data analysis, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), or as a Registered Nurse, or certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Professional certification and/or licensure in any state in good standing (e.g., RN, CPhT)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communications skills
  • Exhibit ability to work collaboratively with other departments/teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Certifications:

  • Familiarity with other technology and platforms (e.g., statistical programs, Microsoft Access, other database tools, SQL, programming language[s])
  • Professional engagement in areas such as policy/procedure writing, or customer experience
  • Advanced level skills with Excel preferred
  • Experience working with development and engineering teams
  • Experience collaborating with teams employing agile/scrum methodology
  • Knowledge of regulations, standards, and quality initiatives impacting clinical pharmacy practice and healthcare information technology

TRAVEL:  Up to 5% travel to company events and conferences within the United States
