Job Duties
Assists in the daily management and supervision of court operations. Responsibilities include overseeing specific court filings, assigning court-appointed lawyers, and coordinating requests for visiting or Senior Judges.
Responsible for criminal court list productions to include organizing cases into block schedules and ensuring the dissemination of court lists to court personnel, system users, and the public.
Manages the transcript production process, collaborating with the Chief Court Reporter.
Assists the public with inquiries about finding lawyers and support for Protection from Abuse (PFA) matters.
Serves as a backup for the Language Access Coordinator.
Functions as the Minor Court Administrator, supporting the Magisterial District Judges (MDJs) with administrative tasks, filings, and overseeing quarterly MDJ meetings on behalf of the President Judge.
Implements the Court's Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for emergency preparedness in the absence of the District Court Administrator (DCA).
Assigns the use of courtroom facilities.
Reviews motions for payment processing for court-appointed attorneys.
Responds to Right-To-Know requests in the absence of the DCA.
Identifies hardware and software programs that enhance efficient court practices and collaborates with the County IT department to implement new systems.
Acts as a backup to the Deputy Court Administrator for Jury Management and assists with jury selection.
Collaborates with the Clerk of Courts, Clerk of Orphans' Court, Domestic Relations Section, Children and Youth Services, and Probation to ensure the accurate reporting of statistical data.
Communicates with the Sheriff’s Office and Security Office regarding matters of safety and security in the courtroom; reports security threats to the AOPC via PAJIRS.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Judicial, Business, or Public Administration, or a closely related field; PLUS
Two years of professional-level experience in court management or three years of varied office management work, including professional-level experience in budgeting, procurement, and human resources management.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.

Satisfactory criminal background check required.

Starting Annual Salary
$47,882 - $65,437
