About the role

This position processes payments from students and the University community while working as a team member within the Student Accounting Services Cashiering unit. The position utilizes both BANNER and PeopleSoft information systems. This position oversees the Re-Add process after student registration cancellations have been completed for each term.  This position will also manage the Cashier's Office departmental mailbox.  Performs other duties as assigned by UCO Management. Applies critical thinking to various tasks while adhering to governmental and organizational regulations, policies, and procedures.

Process payments of student and department accounts utilizing both Banner and Peoplesoft information systems.  Process collection agency payments, AR Collect payments, and scholarships.  

Process cash transfers.  

Process manual transcript request transactions and forward to the Registrar's Office.  

Process corrections for Student Accounting Services in the Student Information System (Banner).

Process all Banner Workflow transactions on a daily basis.

Oversee the Re-Add process after student registration cancellations have been completed for each term.

Manage the Cashier's Office departmental mailbox.

Perform end of day balancing and reconciliation for all transactions posted.

This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent with three years of work experience in positions with fiscal support duties. College or other relevant post-secondary coursework may substitute for the experience requirement on a year for year basis.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

• SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
• A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:
• (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
• (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
• (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
• (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
• Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
• Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
