About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily site safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Support incident investigations and help with document findings and corrective actions.
- Maintain safety logs, training records, and PPE inventory.
- Help coordinate toolbox talks, safety orientations, and training sessions.
- Participate in job site safety meetings and assist with emergency preparedness.
- Communicate safety concerns and recommendations to site leadership.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of construction site operations and safety practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigate active construction sites.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety documentation is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Internship or field experience on construction sites.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
Working Conditions:
- Some office work, primarily field-based on active construction sites.
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs and wearing PPE (hard hat, safety vest, boots, etc.).
- Occasional travel between job sites may be required.
