This position is located at 7300 S Central Ave in Bedford Park.

A Production Associate is an integral member of our Operations team who ensures that customer orders are fulfilled under our roast-to-order model each day.  In this role, employees will be exposed to all aspects of our operations including labeling bags, blending roasted coffee, packaging roasted coffee, and fulfillment of orders.  Employees will be assigned to the Shipping & Receiving team but will be exposed to all different aspects of our operations.  Depending on the order volume, production employees may assist other teams to ensure we ship orders every day.  The duties and responsibilities for the Shipping & Receiving team are listed below.

Shipping Team

• Pull product from the shipping rack & fulfill UPS, USPS and Fedex orders according to packing slip & shipping tag

• Properly secure and pack merchandise and wholesale orders to prevent damage

• Must have attention to detail and ensure all orders are fulfilled with appropriate product with corresponding grind number and quantities.

• Assist with loading and unloading trailers and shipments

• Function as an alternate driver for deliveries

• Cleaning Duties as assigned

General

• Participate and adhere to training on Food Safety and workplace safety

• Escalate all potential Food Safety and OSHA issues to Leads or Managers

• Participate in cleaning tasks as directed

• Work extended hours (overtime) if needed during the busy season

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Valid Driver's License required.

• Forklift Certified, or able to become certified within 30 days

Language and Skills

• Ability to read and speak English proficiently.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
