Associate Corporate Reporting Analyst - Latin America

• Assists and aids preparing support and tying out the following financial reporting documents related to the Latin America operations, including month-end journal entries; monthly basic financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP or IFRS, including various supplemental schedules, variance analyses, and graphs; monthly Business Unit Reports summary and statistical analysis, including margin analysis and volumetric reports (by region and by product), administrative and operating expense summaries.
• Assists and aids preparing monthly electronic packets used in communicating results to upper management.
• Assists and aids preparing documents that support the annual audited financial statements of our Latin America operations in accordance with U.S. GAAP or IFRS.
• Assists in the maintenance of the applicable statutory chart of accounts to ensure alignment with U.S. GAAP and IFRS requirements.
• Assists and aids preparing support and tying out certain government surveys (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
• Assists in responding to external auditor requests.
• Collaborates with external parties to complete annual unclaimed property requirements.
• Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Accounting
• Able and willing to work onsite, in-person at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio

Preferred Requirements:

• Obtained or working towards obtaining a CPA.
• 2+ years of Accounting, Public Accounting, and/or Auditing experience
• Bilingual English and Spanish (read, white and speak)
• Work experience in the refining industry

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
