Senior Manager - Digital Design

Position Summary

The Senior Director, Digital Design at Skullcandy will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital experience for our customers across various platforms. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop intuitive and visually stunning user interfaces that elevate our brand and enhance user engagement. Strong design background, a passion for innovation, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles are key requirements for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design strategy and execution of user interfaces for Skullcandy's digital platforms, including website, desktop, mobile app, and e-commerce channels.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, marketers and creative teams to define project goals, requirements, and timelines.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups to communicate design concepts and ideas effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design to drive innovation and excellence.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to gain insights into user behavior and preferences
• Optimize digital experiences via maintenance and enhancement of web functionality
• Mentor and inspire a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communication in New Media, UX Certificate Devpoint Labs or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in UI/UX design and 10+ years' experience in creative design
• Proficient in industry standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and more
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• The ability to work collaboratively and lead a team to deliver against design goals.
