- Duration: 10-week internship from May 18 – July 24, 2026
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Work Environment: Hybrid – remote work from the state of North Carolina with onsite events at our Durham campus
- Residency Requirement: Interns must reside in the state of North Carolina for the duration of the program
- Experience: Hands-on project work that supports our customers and strengthens communities across North Carolina
- Mentorship: Interns are paired with a mentor and receive regular feedback to support their development
What You’ll Do
Join the Operations team, where we strive to improve processes throughout the business. As an intern, you’ll support enterprise optimization gaining exposure to business tools, processes, and documentation. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to work that drives real change in healthcare.
What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in a degree seeking academic program, ideally in Business or related fields
- Strong curiosity, drive, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent time management and communication skills
Bonus Points
- Experience with Business operations
- Prior internship or project experience in process improvements
- Familiarity with broad business concepts
Compensation:
- Rising Sophomore: $20/hr
- Rising Junior/Senior $22/hr
- Masters / JD: $29/hr
- MBA / PharmD: $36/hr
Salary Range
At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.
