Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for Deere & Company Computer Center located in Moline, IL, you will...

 

• Be an Observability/Operational Intelligence Engineer responsible for the following:

• Designing and selecting appropriate event management and Operational Intelligence solutions of the future.
• Driving advances in technologies and architectures to increase the value delivered by technology and digital capabilities, either through improvements to the efficiency of the technology environment or through but limited to artificial and predictive intelligence.
• Exploring and developing a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contributing to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
• Conducting feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and documenting findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.

What Skills You Need

 

• 10+ years of experience in IT
• 3+ years of experience in current ServiceNow solution and knowledgeable of cost and efficiency enhancements
• Understand artificial and predictive intelligence and how to apply in our environment for benefit
• Demonstrated ability in standard scripting languages used in our environment (Python, Java, etc.)
• Background in infrastructure and application architecture and systems' dependencies
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills including examples of cross domain collaboration
• Ability to self-start & coach team members.

• Experience in infrastructure and application domain functions
• Practical experience in monitoring and event management
• Strong data analysis skills
• Familiarity with Global IT's critical products
• Ability to influence without authority.

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or equivalent work experience
