As part of our team, you'll serve the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping to support the execution of advanced government-funded research and development (R&D) programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. You’ll leverage your expertise to provide strategic assessments of new developments in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. You’ll maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies.
You'll serve as an Administrative and Business Specialist supporting clients with a range of administrative and business matters. You will be responsible for managing incoming requirements, facilitating engagements within offices and across the agency, and being readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and track statuses of office-level deliverables, allocating resource needs and project workplans as required.
- Support internal programs and HR initiatives such as support of the program, controls, and assignments.
- Create, update, coordinate, and organize office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all forms of knowledge management materials.
- Identify blockers proactively and work with office leadership to develop strategies to minimize or mitigate those blockers.
- Work with office leadership on strategy for accomplishing office goals.
- Assist with briefing materials and documents.
- Track important milestones or actions.
- Prioritize work by considering its risk, importance, urgency, and potential business, organizational, and client implications.
- Interact with clients, government officials, and other executives in various sectors.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment
- Experience monitoring deliverables, and allocating resource needs and project workplans
- Experience with knowledge management processes and best practices
- Experience interacting and communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to identify and manage client expectations, develop clear objectives and deadlines, and communicate taskers on behalf of agency leadership
- Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced start-up environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor's degree
