JOB TITLE SUMMARY

Job Title: Coordinator, Student Involvement

Division: Student Affairs

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Associate Director, Student Involvement

Positions Supervised: Student Employee(s)

Review of applications will begin on May 2nd and will continue until the position is filled. The anticipated start date for the successful candidate is June 6th or later.

Job Summary

The coordinator of student involvement supports and collaborates with the Student Involvement staff to ensure the needs of students and other constituents are addressed in a timely manner. This position coordinates general office management, as well as provides support to students and student organizations interacting with the Office of Student Involvement.

Job Responsibilities and Execution

  • Utilizes Workday to process all financial requisitions and purchases for student organizations, the Office of Student Involvement, and the department of Student Affairs
  • Utilizes engagement platforms to manage organization requests (e.g., marketing, equipment, event approval, etc.)
  • Advises students on and verifies compliance with University policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations
  • Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)
  • Manages Student Involvement equipment utilized by students, faculty, and staff; oversees the equipment rental calendar, as well as preparing orders for pickup and inventorying equipment
  • Supervises undergraduate student workers, including hiring, training, scheduling, approving timesheets, and addressing disciplinary concerns

  • Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
  • Supports Lindenwood students by providing a space for diverse student populations that encourages wholistic extracurricular development
  • Provides high quality customer service for the Office of Student Involvement

Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration

  • Maintains Student Involvement promotional materials and social media pages; ensures materials are in alignment with University brand guidelines
  • Coordinates with student organizations to ensure they are following event rules and guidelines
  • Updates the University website and calendar with events, meetings, and important dates
  • Communicates with student worker applicants throughout the selection and hiring process
