About the role

SUMMARY

Paragon Professional Services, LLC is currently seeking a qualified Chief of Security for our contract at Fort Bliss in Texas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Oversee all aspects of Security Operations at the EPSPC
  • Monitor, review and apply Immigration Customs Enforcement Performance Based National Detention Standards 2011, revised 2019 within the ICE El Paso Service Processing Center (EPSPC).
  • Coordinate and Liaison with Immigration and Customs Enforcement Supervisory Detention and Deportation Officers for facility security matters
  • Conduct investigative reports for Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) incidents.
  • Review EPSPC Administrative and Operational practices in order to ensure all security and compliance procedures are effective and efficient.
  • Provide Performance Reviews on Shift Captains
  • Provide Corrective Action Recommendations to Human Resources for performance deficiencies of staff
  • Ensure Timely reports are submitted for all operational issues, to include but no limited to Use of Force Incidents, PREA incidents and security memorandums.
  • Obtain and report intelligence data regarding alleged gang activity within the EPSPC
  • Conduct security checks for all posts within the EPSPC
  • Provide administrative and operational guidance to all staff in operational security
  • Identify and safety and security hazards
  • Other Duties as directed by the Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen or LPR
  • Valid state security officer’s license
  • Not currently employed by federal agency/active duty military
  • HS Graduate or GED
  • 10 Year Security Supervisor Experience
  • Valid TCOLE Basic Instructor Course
  • Valid Public Trust Clearance
  • Completed Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Investigation Training

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Ability to timely and accurate reports on Word and Excel Formats
  • English literacy and ability to write reports in English
