We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
There is one position available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
Coordinates and ensures company programs and projects are in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and areas of concern. Promotes corporate environmental policy, by educating and assisting employees to seek innovative ways to ensure operational environmental compliance. Coordinates environmental permitting activities for company facilities.
Develops and conducts environmental compliance training. Inspects and provides advice on operations, construction, procedures, records, and training. Ensures compliance with environment requirements prescribed by laws, regulations, company policies, and company procedures. Provides regulatory interpretations for new and existing environmental regulations.
Coordinates and develops compliance plans for implementing regulatory changes. Prepares and coordinates reports and registration information to required regulatory agencies. Conducts analyses, prepares position papers, and prepares compliance manuals on regulatory issues and programs. Uses electronic databases to analyze and monitor company compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Environmental Specialist II: 2-3 years of work experience with environmental regulatory compliance and/or permitting. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year.
Environmental Specialist III: 5 + years of work experience with environmental regulatory compliance and/or permitting. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year.
Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
- Good working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations specific to the work location;
- Good working knowledge of environmental operating permits and regulations specific to the work site, if responsible for contracted assets;
- Logic and reasoning skills, to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, or approaches;
- Respectful assertiveness, to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met by others, while considering the spirit and letter of the law;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, to interface with internal stakeholders effectively;
