As a System Engineer – Item/Inventory Flow & Accuracy, you’ll serve as the technical expert for diagnosing and resolving item inventory issues across interconnected retail systems. This role ensures data accuracy, system stability, and operational efficiency within Walmart’s Supply Chain.

What you'll do...

• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot item-related issues across supply chain and retail systems, driving solutions and root cause fixes.
• Implement monitoring and visibility tools (dashboards, alerts, reports) to proactively detect and address inventory problems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across integrations (replenishment, OMS, finance, EI) and ensure seamless data flows.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and business teams to resolve breakdowns, ensure consistency, and improve processes.
• Support and enhance tools such as system comparators to maintain sync checks and system health.

What you'll bring:

• Strong technical skills in SQL/NoSQL querying, API testing/debugging, and Python scripting.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log analysis tools (e.g., Grafana, Datadog, Splunk).
• Solid understanding of system integrations, data flows, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQ).
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking with a proven ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and document findings effectively.
