Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing (DAYS)

Our optical manufacturing facility is growing and expanding!  We're seeking a Maintenance technician to join our team.     

1st Shift Schedule:   Monday through Friday (6:00 am - 2:30 pm)  

Pay & extras:  Base pay plus extra bi-weekly bonus opportunities.  We also have a generous PTO plan and many other benefits.

Job Description

Our associates are responsible for performing a variety of duties, depending on their department and lab needs.  Maintenance Technicians are responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment located in the lab. 

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

• Performing Preventative Maintenance on all equipment, maintaining PM checklists
• Handling work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production down time
• Servicing and maintaining Edgers, Generators and Blockers
• Cleaning, changing parts, performing checks, calibrating
• Identifying issues and performing repairs
• Assisting with installations, fabrications, servicing of other equipment and systems in the lab
• Following all safety measures, "Lock out / Tag out" procedures and utilizing PPE if required

Qualifications

• No specific education required
• 1 year previous experience in industrial maintenance (electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, HVAC, etc.)
• Experience in manufacturing desired, optical industry knowledge a plus but not required
• Must be able to read and write English
• Requires accuracy, some mental effort and occasional organization and planning
