RN, Registered Nurse - PRN

Roden Oral, Facial, and Dental Implant Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a skilled and committed Registered Nurse to join our team on an as-needed basis and assist us in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Our core belief is putting the patient’s needs first, and it underlies every aspect of our practice. The ideal candidate for the PRN RN position should possess a natural inclination towards providing compassionate care.

We are specifically looking for a PRN Registered Nurse to work for up to 12 weeks starting in November 2024 and potentially work on an as-needed basis prior to that period.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management and uses acquired knowledge, theory, research, and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures, local and IV sedation, according to physician orders.
• Evaluate patient’s preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative status at intervals according to facility policies and procedures.
• Employ strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
• Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.

Requirements

• 1 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Med-Surg, or Critical Care (preferred).
• Associates Degree with experience or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Consistent professional appearance and attitude.
• Must be detail oriented, punctual, and patient care focused.
• Motivated to grow and learn new things.
• Ability to cross train and perform front office function.
