About the role

Position Summary:

Project Farma is looking for a qualified cross-functional candidate to join our Human Resource Team as a Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and improving the day-to-day HR operations for the business area they support. This role acts as a first point of contact for HR related matters and owns the functional areas of onboarding/off boarding and other project-based initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources, as well as Project Management skills. The candidate will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. This role will be cross-functional in its ability to assist in any additional high priority administrative tasks, special projects, or duties.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

General:

  • Assist in helping employees use all major HR related software systems including but not limited to HRIS, Timekeeping/ERP, Employee Recognition, and Performance Evaluations.
  • Maintain electronic records of employee related data with accurate and up to date information.
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance when needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments or functions (Finance, Benefits, Marketing, HR Shared Servies, etc.) as requested.

HR Administration & Compliance:

  • Support the continuation of a strong HR infrastructure by following all compliance initiatives, providing recommendations, and assisting in creation of company policies to ensure consistency, and efficiency (creating and developing employee handbooks, travel & entertainment policies, Leave of Absence…etc.), FSLA classifications and audit.
  • Assist in employee immigration cases by providing appropriate documentation when requested.
  • Current knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Collaborates with colleagues on the HR team to ensure consistency in internal processes.
  • Answers employee questions and troubleshoots HR system issues.
  • Files, organizes, and scans confidential records such as employee folders, I-9s/right to work documentation, to ensure files are up to date.

Benefits and Payroll

  • Assist employees in benefit administration including enrollments, terminations or claims resolution. Act as the point of contact between the Precision Leave or Benefits departments and our employees, following up and necessary to ensure closure of issues.
  • Partner with the Finance team ensure all PTO is submitted and tracked appropriately per pay period and assist employees with questions concerning their pay or time off.

Performance Management:

  • Assist HR Manager with the annual and mid-year review process ensuring all employees and managers are compliant.
  • Assist in the progressive discipline process by connecting with leadership and providing guidance as necessary.
  • Collaborate with managers to resolve issues and assist in preparing corrective action.
  • Provides advice to management on simple employee relations and day to day management issues.

Program Management:

  • Own end to end program management of employee Mentorship Program including but not limited to assigning mentors, gaining feedback on current Mentorship Program, and making continuous improvements.
  • Own end to end program management of new hire training programs including but not limited to coordinating training schedules, conducting training sessions, and implementing program enhancements.
  • Manages the complete onboarding/off-boarding process for employees which includes new hire orientation, manager communication, preparing new hire meeting agendas, background checks, data entry into key systems, etc.
  • Assist in implementing new global/or divisional HR programs to assigned office/country locations to ensure a consistent approach.
  • Performs special projects of various nature to enhance employee culture.
  • Assess, recommend, and develop programs designed to enhance employee morale and productivity, and recognize employees for their contributions to the company’s success.

Culture & Employee Relations:

  • Conducts all exit interviews and recommends proposed solutions for retention.
  • Plan and coordinate companywide events as needed.
  • Lead HR related ad-hoc special projects in employee experience, career development, and performance management as needed.
  • Conduct new hire follow-up meetings, gather data from 45-day new hire survey and analyze data to provide feedback to managers and senior leaders on possible areas for improvement.
