What You Will Do

The Coupang experiment platform team is building a centralized platform to support all the domain teams in the company to implement and run their experiments and manage feature deployment through feature flags platform. Candidate design, build, and drive company wide adoption of features to improve feature development productivity and efficiency. We build user friendly web applications for test owners to create the experiments and review the results. We provide SDK for developers to instrument their experiments. We power companywide feature flags/dynamic configurations for dark deployments. We build the sophisticated metric calculation engine to easily onboard global and local metrics for experiment decision making.

Basic Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience

• 6+ years work experience

• Track records in delivering highly distributed systems

• Platform knowledge working with AWS, Docker, Etcd, Zookeeper, Elastic Search, Git and Apache Hadoop technologies

• Knowledge around A/B Testing is preferred

• Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and implications of computer architecture on software performance (e.g., I/O and memory tuning)

• Software engineering fundamentals: version control systems (i.e Git, Github) and workflows, and ability to write production-ready code

• Experience deploying highly scalable software supporting millions or more users

• Experience with integrating applications and platforms with cloud technologies (i.eAWS and GCP)

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to conduct meetings and make professional presentations, and to explain complex concepts and technical material to non-technical users​
