About the role

Senior Tax Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Tax Associate to support our growing tax function with a focus on international tax compliance, domestic sales tax management, and unclaimed property reporting. This role requires strong organizational skills, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to manage external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate compliance with global tax obligations.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

International Tax:

  • Support international launches for D2C and marketplaces
    Coordinate international tax (VAT/GST) registrations and ensure timely filing of returns.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with international tax advisors and local country representatives.
  • Maintain a global tax calendar to ensure compliance with international tax deadlines.

Domestic Sales Tax:

  • Oversee domestic sales tax compliance including return preparation, reconciliation, and remittance.
  • Manage and act on sales tax notices and letters from state and local jurisdictions.
  • Assist with sales tax audits, providing documentation and coordinating responses as needed.

Tax Coordination & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with external and internal tax accountants to facilitate:
    • Quarterly tax estimates
    • R&D credit calculations and documentation
    • Year-end tax provision and tax return preparation

    Unclaimed Property:

  • Partner with the Analytics team to design and implement reporting processes for unclaimed property compliance. 
  • Assist in completing unclaimed property filings as processes are developed.

What We’ll Love About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MST a plus).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a corporate tax, public accounting, or consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with international VAT/GST and U.S. sales tax regulations.
  • Experience working with third-party tax service providers.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage cross-functional relationships.
  • Proficient in Excel and tax software tools (e.g., Avalara, or similar platforms).
