The Mobility Programs Fleet Operations team is responsible for the on-wing support and monitoring of the C-17, KC-46 and C-390 fleets of military aircraft. As a member of the Mobility Programs Logistics team, the F117 Field Service Representative provides onsite technical guidance and assistance to the assigned F117 engines and C-17 aircraft operated by the United States Air Force at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii. This position requires the individual to work closely with the Air Force and Boeing personnel to coordinate timely assistance and resolutions to engine and engine and airframe interface technical issues that arise during the course of daily operations. Individual must utilize organizational and communication skills in communicating directly with the C17/F117 program, Boeing on-site reps and base personnel.
What You Will Do
Evaluate maintenance and troubleshooting procedures and advise maintenance and technical personnel in the use of special tools, equipment, safety precautions, installation methods, and provide other assistance to resolve maintenance problems and improve maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
Provide support to resolve technical and logistical issues involving F117 engine operation for installed and uninstalled maintenance activities.
Team with the USAF and Boeing to maximize engine time on wing to reduce costs while minimizing unscheduled maintenance for the maintenance crews
Use self-initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct thorough investigations where appropriate to determine root causes and coordinate solutions between P&W Customer Support Engineering, Logistics Program Management, the Air Force, and Boeing.
Conduct on-the-job training for system troubleshooting and flight-line assistance.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree
8 years of customer support or engine maintenance experience or an advance degree with 5 years of customer support or engine maintenance experience or "in lieu of degree" with 12 years experience of customer support or engine maintenance.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Previous F117, PW4000-94" or large commercial engine experience
Previous military Field Service Representative experience
Knowledge of tech orders, maintenance manuals, and on-wing troubleshooting techniques
Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely with limited oversight
Strong desire to succeed and pursue personal growth and developmental opportunities
Broad technical knowledge of engine hardware and operation
Prior experience working directly with an external military or airline customer, and/or previous USAF experience
Demonstrated ability to develop and grow customer relationships
