A-Shift Security Officer Full-time (Weekend)

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical security of our facility through various tasks, including monitoring walking or stationary posts, inspecting, and controlling individuals and vehicles entering or leaving the premises, and maintaining detailed logs of all activities. Your duties will encompass checking identification of visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, and allowing only authorized personnel into the facility. You will be tasked with examining carry-in items, writing comprehensive investigative reports, and conducting preliminary investigations into accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as required.

Additionally, your role will involve patrolling the plant to ensure the overall security of the physical facility, as well as monitoring and logging truck traffic during ingress and egress. Proficiency in switchboard operations, two-way radio communication, and intercom equipment will be essential.

REQUIREMENTS:        

Education: High School diploma or its equivalency.

Experience: Supervisory and investigative skills helpful but not mandatory, necessary training provided for successful applicants.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications is required.

Communication Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate under stressful situations. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials.

Special Skills: Must have the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.

Other: Must be able and willing to work in season environmental conditions both hot/cold temperatures, work independently and under supervision. Must have valid driver’s license.
