A&P Mechanic

Hillsboro Aero Academy is looking to hire A&P Mechanics in its Hillsboro campus. 

The A&P Mechanic position offers hands-on experience on  Cessna 152’s and 172’s and Piper Seminole airplanes and Robinson helicopters in a fast-paced shop environment. This position is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and improve your skills while working as part of a team in support of the company’s flight training operations. The ability to meet challenges thoughtfully and quickly with a safety focus is essential. Flexible schedules and advancement opportunities are available. 

 Job Duties:  

• Perform inspections, repairs and preventive maintenance in accordance with applicable FAA regulations and manufacturer’s instructions 
• Maintain high quality standards for the shop environment, tools and records 
• Must be able to use common sense and problem-solving skills when performing repairs, inspections and maintenance for optimum efficiency

  Qualifications:  

•  A&P certificate   

  Required Skills/Experience:  

• Great attitude, quick learner 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

 Preferred Skills/Experience:  

• Cessna, Piper or Robinson experience preferred    

 Additional Info:

• Full Time and part time positions
• Monday-Friday: day and evening shifts
• Weekend shifts
• Four-ten schedules available
• Flexible schedules
