Location:  This is a hybrid role, working  3 days per week in our SAP office in San Ramon, California.  

 

What You'll Do:

 

As a SPM (Sales Performance Management) application operation engineer you will be involved in  resolving day to day operational issues for the customer. The engineer will be responsible for resolving customer issues with defined SLAs and the engineer will be performing data migrations, custom code deployments and weekend maintenance activities.

We are supporting multiple applications backend operations 24 x 7.

Proactively communicates client status, concerns, and issues to the appropriate management team.

Code migration: Responsible for executing application code migration, mainly for HANA /Oracle code.

Configuration management: Implement and deploy configurations code and manage changes to maintain consistency across environments.

Automate: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline and simplify.  

 

What You Bring:

 

5+ years of experience, with a Degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields.

Primary duties will be providing operational support and managing applications (RHEL, Oracle).

Experience with Linux is required (Redhat preferred).

Good understanding of relational databases (Oracle 12/19) and HANA DB.

Good understanding of SQL and stored procedures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills will add value to the role:

Automate Operational activities using scripting languages like Shell, Ansible, Rundeck, etc.

Good understanding of how J2EE applications work with Web servers, etc.

Knowledge of GCP, Kubernetes, Dockers is a plus.
