About the Engineering Team:
Our Engineering Team operates at the forefront of technology, leveraging cutting-edge tools and methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing software that aligns with our business goals, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Your contributions will directly influence Walmart’s mission to offer an exceptional shopping experience.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, guiding them in software development.
Design and implement software architectures that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Collaborate with QA and third-party partners to ensure timely project delivery.
Maintain clean, modular code for cross-platform architecture.
Participate in industry events to stay updated with the latest technologies.
What You’ll Bring:
10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on embedded devices.
Expertise in C, C++11/14, and systems programming with Linux.
Proficiency in at least one high-level language (e.g., Python) and experience with Docker, Snapcraft, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of optimizing software for CPU and memory efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
