Bechtel Energy is seeking a Scaffolding Superintendent with proven capabilities to join Pluto Train 2 project in Karratha, WA. This is a 3:1 roster.

Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

About the Role:
In your new role as Scaffolding Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising and directing activities of construction craft within an assigned area of responsibility.
You will direct craft activities, monitor and analyse workforce, material, and equipment requirements, and coordinates the area discipline work plan requirements with others as designated.
Your duties will include:
- prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.
- assists in the preparation of construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Main scope will be providing scaffolds in pipe racks for pipefitters, welders, painters, insulators, electricians hanging scaffolds, cantilevered, systems scaffolds and tube and clip (fitting).
- overseeing scaffolders, Leading Hands and Supervisors - there will be several crews each with their own Leading Hands and groups answering to Supervisors.
- shared responsibility to manage the scaffold yard, schedule and perform preventative maintenance and repair of all scaffolding components.
- other duties as required.
What You Bring:
- Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation relating to field activities.
- Ability to gain knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
- 10-15 years’ experience in field and large scale construction.
- educational training in general engineering, or courses in construction technology and management, and/or work experience in craft, non-technical or technical positions.
Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.

Additional Information:
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
