Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Experienced Assemblers (Level C) to join the Site Response Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable Shift!
In this position as assemblers selected candidates will perform complex production assembly: remove and replace on structural components, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems to include wiring diagrams. This role will also require domestic travel up to 25% and as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
Builds effective resource plans. Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader.
Updates and communicates BPS metrics. Identifies KPI improvement actions.
Assigns daily work.
Leads team in daily safety check-in. Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.
Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.
Documents and communicates shift turnover. Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.
Monitor and control of 5S. Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.
Creates standardized work instructions.
Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training. Responsible for BPS process improvements.
Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite when not traveling. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite with expectation of travel up to 25%.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
Must be able to travel domestically up to 25%.
1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
1+ years of aerospace structures experience.
1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
1+ years of experience navigating engineering documents and systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience in Velocity.
1+ years of experience in REDARS and navigating engineering documents.
1+ years of experience in Digital Full Kit.
Experience in shimming, manual drilling and fastener installations.
Experience in manual oversize drilling, hole pulling countersinking, OUA drilling.
Experience meeting quality and safety requirements or resolve technical or operational problems.
Experience working within a team environment.
Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
