Global Technology Procurement/Sourcing Manager-Senior Vice President (CISO)

The Global Technology Procurement/Sourcing Manager is a senior level position responsible for leading the CISO Sourcing Category which will include procurement activities such as the negotiation of terms of price, quantity and delivery, analyzing comparable suppliers and agreeing on contracts in coordination with the internal business stakeholders and subject matter experts. The overall objective of this role is to acquire goods and services in support of the CISO business line.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sourcing strategies that align with business and organizational goals, execute against these strategies, develop sourcing plans with business stakeholders, and establish a reputation within the sourcing organizations and business units as expert
- Develop internal business partner relationships, key/strategic supplier relationships, and key stakeholder relationships as well as negotiate market leading contract and commercial terms for new product acquisitions, develop sourcing strategies, and develop project delivery and execution for assigned categories
- Manage and maintain contract and commercial terms with existing regional and global suppliers focused on reducing franchise risk and achieving market commercial terms to reduce total cost of ownership across multiple Citi Business Units
- Interact with all levels of management including senior and executive management from various internal/external businesses and suppliers
- Serve as a sourcing and end-to-end supply chain Subject Matter Expert (SME) through bringing valuable market insight to supported business units, influencing decisions around sourcing strategy and supplier selection, and leads the negotiation and contracting process for product acquisition
- Work with Regional Sourcing Leads from multiple regions to coordinate sourcing activities and support the development of regional strategies to ensure execution of global strategies
- Analyze business processes to decide on opportunities achieved through influencing supply and demand of services as well as analyze supplier proposals, structure, and negotiate supply agreements and manage supplier relations and performance
- Identify and drive cost reduction, supplier consolidation, service delivery improvements, process efficiencies, risk mitigation, and standardization across Citigroup businesses
- Build and maintain relationship with business unit stakeholders to promote and expand procurement influence within software, as well as participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring or purchasing policies and procedures
- Contribute to all administrative requirements such as approved supplier program, supplier diversity, contract management system, procure-to-pay system, software related metrics, and reporting
- Train/coach employees, monitor quality and quantity of work, and manage day to day staff issues such as resource management and allocation within team project
- Report on category trends and best practices driving best-in-class purchasing practices including application category management, preferred systems, tools, and techniques in a timely manner as well as maintain up to date and accurate system records
- Lead cross-functional teams comprised of country procurement managers and stakeholders from multiple business units in development and execution of software sourcing strategies, Requests for Proposal, supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting processes, as well as lead regional and Global sourcing initiatives
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in software, cyber security services, and related professional services
- Certified Purchase Professional such as CPM or CIPS preferred
- Experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, and Procurement
- Contract and Vendor Management Experience
- Advanced computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office and Excel
- Demonstrated success in achieving savings goals and other performance metrics
- Demonstrated relationship management, influencing, negotiation, and persuasion skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
