This will include back and middle office functions, which are predominantly located in Dublin, to ensure effective implementation of investment team decision making.</li><li>Contribute to investment philosophy, portfolio construction and manager selection for our client portfolios.</li><li>Represent the Fixed Income Portfolio Management team internally and externally (including at C-Suite levels).</li><li>Develop a deep understanding of all sub-asset classes and all managers within Mercer’s highly rated universe.</li><li>Pro-actively identify and manage value-added ad hoc projects.</li><li>Help design and implement new investment solutions while supporting business development and client management initiatives.</li><li>Present to clients with clarity and confidence backed up by a detailed understanding of the subject matter.</li><li>Be a subject matter expert across fixed income.</li><li>Help lead the day-to-day management of the team including acting as a mentor / manager.</li></ul><p></p><p><u>What you need to have: </u></p><ul><li>Technical background and highly numerate with an analytical mind-set</li><li>Strong understanding of Fixed Income markets and different investment strategies</li><li>Proven leadership with the ability to influence and challenge</li><li>Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and build strong internal and external relationships</li><li>Critical thinking, naturally curious and a problem-solver, with a-get-involved attitude</li><li>Ability to work flexibly, independently and collaboratively as part of a team</li></ul><p></p><p><u>What makes you stand out:</u></p><ul><li>Ideally CFA/ CAIA/ FSAI/FIA qualified (or similar)</li><li>Deep experience across the full spectrum of liquid fixed income asset classes</li><li>Organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines</li><li>A strong communicator, both internally and externally, and have an ability to navigate across the various teams across Mercer globally.</li></ul><p></p><p>Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other less represented groups tend to only apply when they check every box.
