About the role
The Executive Protective Officer (EPO) is responsible for providing high-level protection and security services to senior executives, high-profile individuals or corporate leaders. The EPO ensures the safety of the executive(s) during daily activities, business travel, public appearances, and special events. The role involves anticipating potential threats, implementing security measures, and always maintaining confidentiality.

- Personal Protection: Provide direct protection to executives, ensuring their safety in various environments such as office buildings, events, airports, hotels, and while traveling.
- Security Planning: Plan and implement comprehensive security protocols, including route planning, risk assessments, and advance security for events.
- Threat Assessment: Continuously monitor and assess potential threats to the executives, responding to any incidents or security concerns swiftly.
- Travel Security: Coordinate and execute secure travel arrangements, including transport security, hotel accommodations, and safe routes, both locally and internationally.
- Event Coordination: Work closely with event organizers to ensure that all aspects of security are in place during business meetings, conferences, or public appearances.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to react and manage emergency situations, including evacuations, medical emergencies, or threats to the executive's safety.
- Surveillance and Intelligence Gathering: Monitor activities around the executive and maintain situational awareness using advanced security technology and techniques.
- Confidentiality: Maintain the utmost discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information related to the executive’s personal and professional life.
- Collaboration: Work alongside other security personnel, local law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure the safety of the executive.
- Health & Fitness: Maintain peak physical fitness to perform duties effectively and manage the physical demands of the job.
- Incident Reporting: Accurately document any security incidents or safety concerns and report them to relevant authorities or the corporate security team.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in executive protection, law enforcement, or military service, with a proven track record in providing personal protection.
- Certifications: Executive Protection certification (e.g., from a recognized professional body like ASIS International or similar) is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and threat management.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with a calm demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of physical fitness and tactical proficiency.
- Skilled in the use of defensive tactics, firearms (if authorized), and emergency response techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Special Requirements:
- Must be available for irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
