Supply Chain & Retail

Supply Chain Services provides both pre-wholesale and wholesale distribution of pharmaceutical, healthcare and animal health products to pharmacies and hospital nationwide. In addition, the business provides services and supports that help independent community pharmacy to compete more effectively in an increasingly difficult environment and runs a network of Uniphar-owned pharmacies under the Life, Allcare, McCauleys and Hickeys symbol brands.

Pharma – On Demand

The On-Demand business is a specialist medical supply business that sources and distributes pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumable supplies to healthcare professionals in over 160 countries worldwide. We have offices in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA and New Zealand. The company’s main divisions encompass everything from International Sales through Sales to NGO’s and Charities, Clinical Trials Supply, Imported (Unlicensed Medicines), Sexual Health Supplies, and the storage and distribution of medical products and devices for third parties.

The Role

To work alongside the Procurement Team to ensure optimal stock holding and management at all times. To cultivate vendor relationships. Stakeholder management internally, with emphasis on Customer Service and Warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Support the Strategic Procurement Manager to ensure department procurement targets are achieved each month

• Work with Strategic Sourcing Specialist and fellow Supply Chain Planners to effectively run the day to day operations of OS stock management and procurement 

• Support Strategic Procurement Manager and Business Unit Manager with stock, sales and GM analysis as required 

• Ensure stock is managed efficiently to guarantee customer demand is met at all times

• Maintain accurate forecasting with vendors on a weekly basis

• Ensure relationships with vendors are maintained to the highest standards through a suite of vendor KPIs. 

• Measure and track each vendor’s service level, basing procurement decisions on performance 

• Work closely with the Warehouse and Wholesale teams to
