Departmental Mission Statement: The Facilities Management and Capital Planning department provides for the management and maintenance of 62 state-owned courthouses, and 42 leased facilities located in ten counties of the Commonwealth. The Department is committed to administering effective property management, facility operations, facility renewal, and the delivery of quality customer service in support of the administration of justice throughout the Commonwealth.

- The hours for this position is 6am-2pm.
- This position is designated as a union position and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement with O.P.E.I.U., Local 6.
- This position may be considered essential personnel in certain emergencies and may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours, including staying late or coming in early.
- The primary location for this position is Worcester, but position will have occasional travelling to following courts in Region II: Clinton, Fitchburg, Gardner, Dudley, Uxbridge, Milford, East Brookfield, Westborough, Worcester, Ayer, Concord, Framingham, Marlborough, Newton.
Position Summary: This series is responsible for performing the full range of skilled trade position duties for both licensed and unlicensed trades. Typical duties include repairing, installing, and testing various types of systems and equipment. These positions may also frequently include the application of complex materials and compounds consistent with general contracting work. The title above the entry level requires the performance of increasingly more responsible and varied work which requires advanced skill and experience with regard to the various licensed and unlicensed trades. Employees are appointed at the entry level position title and are eligible for reclassification to a higher-level position within this series consistent with the specifications for the higher-level position title. The position title reverts to the entry level of this series when there is a vacancy.
