Overview
This Shared Services Senior manager supports IGT’s Gaming & Digital Shared Services organization. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for forecasting and reporting Shared Service departments including those within CFO, Legal, CIO, and People and Transformation organizations. The selected candidate will report directly to the Senior Director, Gaming & Digital FP&A and work closely with the VP, Gaming & Digital FP&A, supporting the Group CFO. The role will require flexibility in a meaningful and fast-paced work environment, and an ability to balance changing priorities between different groups. The right candidate will deliver valuable analysis and will help introduce processes and tools to facilitate highly efficient and effective planning/management reporting
Responsibilities
Provide the financial skills, knowledge, and tools vital to analyze, communicate and advise the financial performance of Gaming & Digital’s Shared Services organization, including, but not limited to:
- Directly supports the organizations within Shared Services and is the key finance contact point between Gaming & Digital FP&A and the Shared Services stakeholders
- Establishes a regular cadence of meeting(s) with key partners in each department to ensure alignment on key financials
- Holds review and recording responsibility for budgeted and forecasted directly managed costs, capex and headcount
- Consolidates and analyzes forecasts for key balance sheet items especially net working capital.
- Consolidates and analyzes the forecast & actuals for month end close
- Provides detailed analysis and explanations of any material variances from prior forecast and prior year
- Liaise with People and Transformation on items that have financial impact within Global organization (Mainly but not limited to TBH planning, vacancy rate assumptions, headcount transfers, other personnel expenses (relocation, severance, bonuses, etc.))
- Liaise with Accounting for any necessary adjustments (Mainly but not limited to month end accruals, reclasses, or any other necessary journal entries to ensure a proper month end close)
- Challenges assumptions where appropriate and resolve discrepancies within the forecast and actuals; investigates variances and trends to provide further analysis and insights
- Analyzes data with a focus on risk mitigation; provides early warning on risks in the plan; effectively communicates risks and upsides in a timely manner.
- Identifies areas where cost improvements can be realized and assists in the implementation of programs to affect cost improvements
- Designs, builds, and maintains reporting in BPC; provide ad hoc analysis as required
Qualifications
- 6 years or more of job-related experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related area required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
- Experience with general accounting principles and procedures, financial forecasting techniques, compiling and presenting financial analysis
- Technical competence and willingness to learn new technologies and software applications
- Motivated self-starter with capacity to lead multiple priorities
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to various business partners and senior leadership
- Results-oriented with ability to deliver high-quality work product
- Experience with business systems and financial reporting software, SAP BPC and Microsoft PowerBI a plus
- MBA/CPA or other finance related certification a plus
