Compliance Manager

Hero Practice Services is currently seeking a Compliance Manager to develop, implement, and monitor the company’s compliance program. This role will oversee activities including (but not limited to) patient care quality, data integrity, federal and state regulations, and policies and procedures.
This is a remote opportunity and the position will report to the General Counsel.

Pay range: $80K-$90K
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, Medicaid, and other applicable healthcare regulations
- Oversee the timely and accurate release of medical records
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting company’s healthcare verticals
- Process, track, and respond to external audit requests from payors and regulatory agencies
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify gaps in compliance and recommend corrective actions
- Partner with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate documentation, billing, and coding practices
- Track and report compliance metrics to leadership
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff, providers, and leadership
- Manage and investigate compliance concerns, patient complaints, and potential violations
- Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred
- At least five years of compliance or related experience in healthcare
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and Medicaid regulations; OSHA a plus
- Experience with audits, investigations, and risk management
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build trust and credibility across multidisciplinary teams
- Compliance certification a plus
