Responsibilities
This individual will serve as the relationship manager for signature alliances to propel the impact of the American Heart Association’s Center for Telehealth. They will execute the collaborative engagement strategy with the aim of driving mutually beneficial relationships with key Telehealth stakeholders. The position will secure, retain, and grow relationships across multiple collaborating strategic alliances (healthcare professional organizations, academia, government, etc) to support the Association’s collaborative network development and dissemination activities, expanding and integrating the Association's Center for Telehealth’s strategic focus areas. Equipped with specialized knowledge of Telehealth research and practice, this person will participate in the conceptualization and design of strategic alliance programmatic initiatives that advance the goals of the Association.
The Sr. Program Manager, Strategic Alliances will provide oversight and lead Association deliverables within collaborative agreements, represent the American Heart Association Center for Telehealth at a variety of meetings & conferences, and will lead development and take an active writing role on manuscripts, white papers, and other publications to disseminate the work and activities of the collaborative network.
Strategic Alliance Management
- Serve as a staff partner to the Center for Telehealth staff leadership and volunteers to provide strategic input and oversight for leveraging new strategic alliances.
- Identify, network, recruit and engage alliances that are uniquely positioned with influence and reach to amplify the Association's efforts to achieving our goals for driving and disseminating science.
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison between the Association and alliance organizations; managing ongoing relationships with external audiences, as appropriate, including but not limited to healthcare professionals, researchers, and universities. Includes plans for launching and managing a collaborative Telehealth network.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal business units of the Association including Quality Outcomes Research Analytics, Policy Research, Professional Education, and Patient Engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate current and emerging alliances’ progress in relation to goals and creating collaborative program plans that drive to mutually beneficial relationships.
- Create and lead the implementation of customized collaboration plans with deliverables, success metrics and timelines.
- Develop Memorandums of Understanding and/or agreements in conjunction with the Association's Legal and Grants department as appropriate.
- Develop briefing documents and other communication tools to share key messaging and progress with senior executives and volunteer leadership.
Planning, Development and Evaluation
- Ensure congruency with American Heart Association Center for Telehealth strategic plan and grant deliverables.
- Lead development of educational webinars, resources, toolkits, and surveys as outlined in collaborative agreements with strategic alliances.
- Outline and maintain timelines, action plans and budgets for assigned projects to ensure thoughtful, timely development.
- Create project presentations for external stakeholders and Association Senior Team leaders covering program strategy, direction, timing and metrics.
- Track and develop evaluation/ROI reports for internal and external customers to demonstrate success of collaborations.
