Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Senior Manager of Corporate Finance is responsible for managing financial planning and forecasting for NBCU Corporate Staff Functions. This role will have significant interaction with department heads and executive leaders, particularly through the budget and estimate cycles. In addition, the senior manager will participate in/coordinate ad hoc projects as requested.

This role reports to the Sr. Director, Corporate Finance and sits alongside the Corporate FP&A group function which provides insight into all of NBCU’s businesses including Parks, Film and Peacock, and offers a unique overview of the wider NBCU portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation and maintenance of budgets, estimates and long range plan for assigned Corporate HQ Departments, including expenses, cash flow and headcount
  • This is a high-profile role with regular interaction with Executive level business leaders; this role will act as day-to-day liaison and partner to department heads and coordinators, developing good working relationships
  • Coordinate and actively participate in financial results reviews with senior leaders
  • Manage closing process including journal entries, pacing, variance analysis reporting
  • Create management reports and presentations on a routine and ad hoc basis
  • Prepare regular operating reviews which are presented to EVP & Global Controllership Leader
  • Ownership to identify opportunities to implement process change and to create value added financial analysis for assigned Corporate HQ divisions
  • Continually review financial processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy and drive effective financial forecasting
  • Manage and develop two Senior Financial Analysts
  • Participate in other ad hoc projects

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Characteristics:

  • SAP BW/BPC experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and encapsulate complex data and information in order to build financial models and presentations to senior leadership
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments and work well under pressure
  • Must be accurate, highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to problem solving including analytical and information system skills
  • Solid work ethic and follow through
  • Willingness to improve processes and improve efficiencies

This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
