Maintenance Generalist / Handyman

THE ROLE

You are the operational backbone of Renjoy’s property portfolio. You keep 170+ vacation rental homes functioning at a high standard by resolving the majority of maintenance issues that require real skill and craftsmanship — but not a trade license.

This is not a “patch and go” position. You’re here to fix things right the first time, prevent problems before they reach a guest, and leave every property better than you found it. You directly support our Guest Experience and Housekeeping teams by ensuring homes are safe, functional, polished, and guest-ready at all times.

At Renjoy, maintenance is not just about fixing homes — it’s about protecting experiences.

WHAT YOU’LL DO EVERY DAY

• Fix & Repair — Tighten cabinet hinges, patch drywall, re-hang blinds, repair wobbly furniture, replace fixtures and minor hardware, and troubleshoot non-licensed repair needs. You solve problems correctly the first time.

• Paint & Finish — Perform seamless touch-up painting, blend finishes professionally, and maintain aesthetic consistency across the portfolio. Guests notice details — and so do you.

• Inspect & Prevent — Conduct thorough safety and functionality inspections. Tighten hardware, check filters, test devices, and identify potential issues before they become guest-facing tickets.

• Perform at Volume — Close 6–8 tickets per day. Move efficiently between properties. Manage your time without sacrificing quality. You understand that pace and craftsmanship aren’t mutually exclusive.

• Document Everything — Log every task in Breezeway, upload required photos, and follow standardized processes. At Renjoy, documentation equals completion. If it isn’t logged and photographed, it didn’t happen.

• Skilled Hands — Strong general handyman abilities across drywall, painting, hardware, fixtures, and basic repairs.

• Physical Capability — Able to lift 50+ lbs and work comfortably in Colorado weather.

• Self-Management — You plan your route, manage your time, and hold yourself to a high standard without micromanagement.

• Tech & App Fluency — Comfortable using field software, uploading documentation, and following digital workflows.

• Craftsmanship Mindset — You care about how the work looks, not just whether it functions.

HONEST EXPECTATIONS (THE ANTI-SELL)

We believe in transparency. Here’s what you should know before applying:

The Repetition. You may fix five closet doors in one day. If you need constant novelty or complex engineering challenges to stay motivated, this role may feel repetitive.

The Documentation. We require photo documentation and task logging in Breezeway for every job. This is non-negotiable. “Pencil whipping” inspections is immediate grounds for termination.

The Pace. This is not a “hide in the shop” role. We track efficiency and know how long standard tasks should take. Productivity is measured and it matters.
