Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse Inpatient to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in our inpatient setting, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
- Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record systems
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice implementation
- Mentor and support new nurses and nursing students
- Respond promptly and efficiently to patient needs and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment
- Current State Registered Professional Nurse license
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of current evidence-based nursing practices and patient safety protocols
- Physical stamina to perform patient care activities and work long shifts
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-stress situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in inpatient care preferred
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
